Missions Introductions
Missionaries Brian & Christa Pate
The Pate family is headed to minister the gospel in Brazil. Brian is planning on using his experience as a pastor in Texas as well as theological training to train national pastors in Brazil. Christa is familiar to Brazil as she grew up there while her parents served as missionaries. Christa, is planning on using her knowledge of Brazilian sign language to assist in the ministry of the gospel. They are blessed with 2 children.
Missionaries Neal & Melinda Ludwig
Neal and Melinda along with their four children are working towards serving God in Ghana. It wasn't long after being saved that God began to work in Neal's heart toward ministering the gospel full time. Once in Ghana it is their desire to plant local churches.
Guest Speaker Dr. Bryan Brock
Bryan is currently serving as professor of Bible and Church ministries at Maranatha Baptist University. Before his ministry at Maranatha, Bryan was a church planter in California where he also earned his doctorate of ministry at Master's Seminary.
Missions Giving
This week we have the opportunity of being used by God to be a blessing to the missionaries with us. Throughout the week we will be taking offerings for these missionaries. Please take this opportunity seriously and pray about how you can give this week to facilitate the ministry God has given to these individuals.
Also, during the next several weeks we will be making our 2018 missions giving commitments. Our church's missions budget allows the church to partner with 21 missionaries directly sowing the gospel in 18 countries. Please be praying how you can be faithful with what God has blessed you with to facilitate the spread of the gospel. There will be cards in the bulletin over the next several Sundays for you to record your 2018 missions giving commitment.
Annual Member's Meeting 2018
Our annual member's meeting is scheduled for Sunday, January 14 during the Sunday School hour. During this meeting, we will be approving the general budget for 2018 as well as considering how we can strive to exalt God, equip saints, and evangelize the world now that we are debt free as a church.
