Pastor Luke Love

Pastor of Preaching and Vision

Pastor Luke Love had the blessing of being born into a pastor’s family. This family background gave him the opportunity to hear the gospel early and often in his life. It was at the age of five that Pastor Love realized that he was a sinner and needed a Savior. Growing up in a pastor’s home also gave him the blessing of seeing the ministry up close as his dad pastored churches in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Georgia.

Pastor Luke recently finished his Doctorate of Ministry in expository preaching from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Luke’s passion for preaching is that it should engage the believer with God’s Word and call them to a greater love for God. He also has a passion for the church as the body of Christ, which illustrates the power of the gospel to the community.

Pastor Love enjoys reading, occasionally running, following anything related to the Michigan Wolverines, and most of all spending time with his wife, Marsha, and their children, Alyssa, Logan, Levi, and Lincoln.

Pastor Mark Horner

Pastor of Discipleship

Pastor Mark grew up in a Christian home where he had the blessing of godly parents exemplifying the joy of being united in Christ. God saved Mark at a young age and years later led him to Bob Jones University where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Biblical Counseling. During the summers Mark served at a Christian camp where he met his wife and best friend, Alyssa. After college and marriage, Mark and Alyssa served their local church in Illinois for several years. During those years, God instilled in Mark a desire to minister as a pastor. Mark obtained a Masters in Biblical Studies through Bob Jones University and then began searching for a church to serve in. God’s kind providence led Mark to connecting with First Baptist Church in West Bend where he began serving as Pastor of Discipleship at the beginning of 2025.

Mark values the sufficiency of God’s Word through the ministry of the Spirit in carrying out the mission of the Church redeemed by Christ. He treasures the opportunity to build relationships with fellow disciples of Christ and seeks to labor for Christ’s Kingdom through sound teaching and counseling together with faithful witness to the world.

Mark serves with the loving support and encouragement of his wife, Alyssa, and both praise the Lord for blessing them with four children: Jett, Cove, Juniper, and Maple. Mark enjoys reading various genres of literature, gardening, connecting over good coffee, enjoying God’s created world in nature, hunting, and most of all, spending time with Alyssa and their children.
