A careful and systematic study of the Bible is the basis of our faith and our understanding of God, His character, and His ways. First Baptist seeks to provide a Bible-centered curriculum that is accurate, stimulating, and age-appropriate.

Each teacher is encouraged to interact with their students on a personal level, in the classroom as well as out, to lead them to saving faith and then to a personal understanding of and commitment to God’s Word. Children’s classes are grouped according to learning readiness and comprehension.

We are using Generations of Grace, a biblically-based, unified curriculum for children age three through 8th grade. Generations of Grace is designed to magnify God by studying His character in the pages of Scripture. Over a three-year period, this curriculum covers the narrative of God’s redemptive plan.

The purpose of our church is meant to drive our church ministries and focus. Our purpose is to make and mature gospel-focused and grace-filled disciples of Christ. That maturing in our discipleship biblically takes God’s people coming together to encourage each other in God’s Word through the Spirit. Because of that, we are going to offer and encourage the church family to engage in different ministries beyond our times together on Sunday morning.

Everyone is encouraged to come together to the church building for a Midweek Discipleship evening. To make coming together easier, a meal will be offered at 5:45, and nursery will be provided during the ministries. Kid’s Night will begin at 6:15, and there will be a Bible study at 6:15.

Throughout the year we offer different Bible studies. These studies vary in topic, length, and location. For information about current or upcoming Bible studies, please contact the church office.
