Word First Men's Conference 2025
The Christian has always been called to live godly lives in a godless world. Jesus recognized this reality in the prayer He prayed as the moment of His death neared. In Jesus’ prayer in John 17, He recognizes that He has sent His followers “into the world.” That world is a world that opposed and rejected Jesus, and a world Jesus warned would oppose and reject those who follow Him. The world’s opposition to Jesus and His gospel is seen at different levels throughout history, but the fact remains that the Christian is called to live godly in a godless world.
Jesus though, doesn’t abandon His followers without any help. John 17:17, the verse right before Jesus praying about sending His followers into the world, Jesus prays, “Sanctify them in the truth, Your WORD is truth.”
Yes, every Christian is sent into a world that is opposed to Jesus Christ and the gospel and that opposition pushes against the Christian’s walk with Christ and pulls the Christian to conform to the world’s values and agenda, but we as followers of Jesus Christ have the truth of God’s WORD to direct us and change us.
This is the passion of the WORD First Conference. That we as men would be equipped by God’s WORD to think and live godly even in the face of a godless world that is opposed to our Savior. We invite you to join us for a day of looking to God’s WORD first to see how we should live as men of God in a godless generation.
Registration fee – $35 (registration deadline is March 29)
Conference fee helps to cover the cost of the conference and includes both breakfast and lunch, book, and more.
Keynote Speaker – Dr. Tony Woods
Tony is the the founding pastor of Mission Bible Church in Orange County. He holds a doctorate from The Master’s Seminary, is the author of multiple books, and along with his wife Bre, hosts the marriage and family podcast Date Night With the Woods.

Located about 30 minutes north of Milwaukee, just off of Hwy 45, First Baptist Church is easy to find. Take Hwy 45 to the Paradise Drive exit. Turn east on Paradise and go to Main Street (three traffic lights). Turn right (south) onto Main Street. We are located in-between Meijer and the Kettle Moraine Ice Center. The church shares the driveway with the Ice Center on the south side of the property.

Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided with registration. Coffee, tea, water, lemonade, and iced tea will be available all day. (There will be gluten-free options available for breakfast and lunch.)

All sales are final except for health reasons. Tickets are transferable to other men. Please email Pastor Doug Ferrell at dferrell@firstbaptistwb.org to complete this process. Please provide your full name and email and the name and email of the individual you are gifting the ticket to.
The conference is open to all men ages 13 and up.
