Thanksgiving Fellowship 2019

We have so much to be thankful for as God has blessed us abundantly. Our annual Church Thanksgiving Meal is a time each year that we take to praise God for His blessings. Sunday, Nov 17, at noon we will be having a church-wide meal. You can sign up to bring food at the welcome desk. We are also in need of help setting up after the morning service and cleaning up. If you are able to help in one of these ways, please contact Pastor Caleb or sign up at the welcome desk. Each individual in the church is encouraged to fill out a thankfulness card (located in the foyer of the church building). You can drop off your thankfulness card at the office or to one of the pastors.

Adult Sunday School - Fall 2019

Starting September 8, adults will have 3 options during our Sunday school at 11 a.m. These classes will last 7 weeks and will be offered twice through the end of the year. Our three classes are:
- Entrusted: Using God's gifts for God's glory | Pastor Luke
- Evangelism: Developing a love for souls | Pastor Dave
- Apologetics: Reasons for hope | Pastor Caleb

Kids and teens also have age-appropriate classes.

Kids 4 Truth

Kids have great questions about God.
In Kids4Truth Club they’ll receive great answers!

All children 3 years of age through 6th grade are welcome to join us each Sunday evening (Sept.-May) for Kids4Truth!

Sundays • 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
Starting September 8, 2019

We believe that the Kids4Truth (K4T) program will challenge your child while also helping them thoroughly learn the same truths along with all the children in our club. K4T emphasizes what we see as the 12 Major Doctrines given to us in God’s Word, the Bible.

We are covering 3 doctrines this year (2019-20): The Trinity, God’s Creation, and God’s View of You.

The lesson given each night during TruthTime directly coincides with the memory work your child will be working on that week. This will allow you to work as a family and/or one-on-one with your child throughout that week as they prepare to recite the answer and verse assigned.

Games and physical activities are a part of each club to both reinforce what we are learning as well as to build friendships with other clubbers.

We are very excited about our K4T Choir program that is a part of each regular meeting. Along with our goal of building right affections and appreciation of good music in our kids this will also be a time for the children to learn songs that reinforce the truths they are learning in club. Additionally it will give them an opportunity to prepare for special upcoming programs such as Christmas, Missions Conference, Easter and the K4T Closing Program.

There is a flat start-up need of just $15 per child – this will include their book, t-shirt, and award bag (returning kids - $5 per item). All children are welcomed at K4T regardless of their ability to cover the cost of the program.

K4T places the age groups of our children in 4 different levels:

Discoverers: 3–4 year olds
Developers: K5–2nd grade
Detectives: 3rd–4th grade
Defenders: 5th–6th grade

To learn more about K4T, please visit the kids4truth website or contact Pastor Caleb Roth.

We encourage parents to attend our Adult Bible Study during Club time. Transportation is also available if needed. Please call our church office at 262-334-9211 for details or you may contact us.

Bible Study

Our spiritual focus will be discussing Genesis 1-11, using the book, God of Creation by Jen Wilkin as a resource.

You are not obligated to get the book in order to come to the retreat. It is simply a tool to help you get started now studying Genesis 1-11. The book will help you dig deeply in the passage on your own and will ask challenging questions to help you understand and apply the text.

We also encourage you to join a discussion group with other ladies to discuss what you have learned and watch a video of Jen Wilkin teaching the passage. Please contact Marsha Love if interested in the book and joining a discussion group. The cost of the book is $14. We tentatively have 3 discussion groups forming, all on Thursdays: 9:30 a.m. in Jackson, 4:30 p.m. in Jackson, and 7 p.m. at church. Discussion groups start September 5.

If you choose to use the book, it is divided into 10 lessons/weeks. We will discuss what we have learned at the retreat. (Some may share and some may be more comfortable just listening, which is fine.)
