Pastor Luke Love had the blessing of being born into a pastor’s family. This family background gave him the opportunity to hear the gospel early and often in his life. It was at the age of 5 that Pastor Love realized that he was a sinner and needed a Savior. Growing up in a pastor’s home also gave him the blessing of seeing the ministry up close as his dad pastored churches in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Georgia.
Pastor Love completed a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Maranatha Baptist University, as well as a Master of Divinity from Calvary Theological Seminary. While at Maranatha he interned with us from 2007-2008 and over the past few years he has served churches in Illinois and Texas. This experience has given Pastor Love a passion for expository preaching, which should encourage the believer in a greater love for God. He also has a passion for the church as the body of Christ, which illustrates the power of the gospel to the community.
Pastor Love enjoys reading, occasionally running, following anything related to the Michigan Wolverines, and most of all spending time with his wife, Marsha, and their children, Alyssa, Logan, Levi, and Lincoln.

He continued on in his church ministry roles following the closing of the Academy in 2005.

Pastor of Youth & Outreach
Pastor David Hinz joined the shepherding staff of First Baptist Church in 2017, to serve in the role of shepherding youth and facilitating community within the body of First Baptist and to encourage, equip and provide outreach opportunities to the surrounding communities for the sake of the Gospel.
At an early age, Pastor David responded to the call of God putting his faith in the saving work of Jesus Christ. From this time onward, he was an active witness to his friends and neighbors. David grew up in a vibrant Christian home that was filled with laughter, music and love. While attending the Menomonee Falls public schools, he continued to grow stronger in his faith in Jesus, stance on the Bible, and loving witness to those around him. During high school David responded to God’s calling for him to enter into full-time ministry, by mentoring and training with area pastors and enrolling in Bible College.
After graduating from Bible college in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Studies and a minor in Bible, David attended Dallas Theological Seminary where he earned a Master of Theology degree with an emphasis in Pastoral Leadership
Following seminary God led David to serve churches in Flint, MI, Ripon, WI, and Brookfield, WI. David’s joy and honor is to be used by God to communicate and equip people to be transformed by the Gospel through his cheerful disposition, hearty laugh, approachability and ability to teach the Scriptures.
In 2005 David and his wife Jennifer met and married. God has blessed them with two children, Nathaniel and Natalie. In David’s spare time he enjoys gardening, primitive-style rug hooking, and playing French horn.
